Utah DOT Pilot/Escort Driver Re-Certification

COURSE OPTIONS AND OVERVIEW:

There are currently three options available to renew the Utah Pilot/Escort Certification.

Option 1: Completing the course through an internet based application. The internet based application will allow you

to easily view the material and complete the test. Using this Option, you will receive a packet in the mail with study

materials and an instruction sheet. Once you receive this, you can begin completing the course online. Once you have

finished the course, the results have been submitted to us via email, we will review these results. You must obtain a

score of 80% or greater. A current MVR is required, no older than 30 days showing a valid driver’s license. If these

requirements are met, we will issue a new UDOT Pilot/Escort Drivers Certification that will be valid for 4 years.

Option 2: Completing the course through the mail with a DVD. If you do not have Internet Access, and no email

address, then a DVD can be sent with a written test. You will review the DVD and complete the test. Once you have

completed the test, send the test and the DVD in the mail to RSA Network. If you achieve a score of 80% or greater

and have supplied the valid an current MVR, we will issue a new certification that is valid for 4 years.

Option 3: Attend the classroom training program in its entirety. There are NO discounts for choosing this option.

COURSE MATERIALS:

In order to complete the course you will need to have the following books: Utah/Colorado Pilot Escort Certification

Rules Regulations & Miscellaneous Documents, State by State Update January 2013 Edition (These books are

included with the course fee), Pilot/Escort Training Manual 2007 Edition or newer (You may have this book from

completing the course previously.)

COURSE FEES:

The fee is due at the time of registration and we will not send any study/reference materials or DVD until the fees are

paid in full.

REGISTRATION PROCESS AND REQUIREMENTS:

You have 30 days from the expiration of your Utah DOT certification to sign up for the re-certification. If you exceed

30 days without signing up, you will be required to attend a classroom certification and you will no longer be eligible

for the re-certification at this time. NOTE: Your certification expires on the date it specifies on your card, this is just the

time allotted to sign up for the program; it does not extend your certification.

RSA Network Inc. currently has your photo on file from the original course. If you are interested in having a new

photo on your card, you must submit this electronically. The requirements are the following: photo from shoulders

up, the photo must be of good quality and no smaller than 2.5”x2.5” and no larger than 5”x5”, it must be submitted as

a jpg. or bmp. image. You will need to email the photo to . The photo needs to be a straight

shot of your face, no side profile photos.

In order to prevent the fraudulent creation of cards we require a signature prior to taking the course. On the attached

registration, there is a location you will sign. This will be the signature that appears on your new certification.

Utah DOT requires that you have a current valid driver’s license. You will need to submit a copy of your MVR

(Motor Vehicle Report) with the registration. This needs to be for the past three years, and no older than 30 days. We

will not send you a new certification until you submit this to our office.

REGISTRATION MUST BE SUBMITTED WITH ALL REQUIREMENTS BEING MET OR IT MAY
