The Farmer’s Commitment to the Shareholder

• We supply fresh, high quality, organically grown vegetables for approximately 20 weeks or

longer.

• The farm staff is diligent in planting vegetables, many of which are heirloom varieties, which

may include but not be limited to the following: Arugula, Beans, Beets, Broccoli, Pak Choi,

Cabbage, Carrots, Cucumbers, Eggplant, Garlic, Herbs (basil, cilantro, dill, and parsley), Kale,

Leeks, Lettuces, Melons, Mustard Greens, Okra, Onions, Peppers (sweet & hot of many colors),

Potatoes, Radishes, Summer Squash, Spinach, Salad Mix, Tomatoes, Tomatillos, Winter

Squash, Zucchini, and, on occasion, Fresh cut Flowers*.

• The farm will purchase and resell or provide locally grown organic fruits and vegetables to

supplement the CSA shares.

• We will do our absolute best to make sure that you receive, at the very least, your average

weekly dollar value, but aim to make sure that, by the end of the growing season, you’ll have

received, at most, double your dollar value**.

*We try to grow many unique heirloom varieties that are higher risk cultivars.

**Produce price equivalents are based on our Farmers Market retail prices.

The Shareholders' Commitment to the Farmers

• I will pay my share in full and on time. A Basic Share averages about 20 lb. per week,

(Payment Schedule: half or full payment due now and the remainder by Aug 1)

• I will pick up my produce on a regular and timely manner and at the agreed location.

• I understand that a successful farm not only operates under the management of knowledgeable

and attentive farmers, but also subject to the whim of Mother Nature. There may be certain

crops that are affected by disease or insects and others with a bountiful harvest. By joining this

CSA, I am helping the farmer by sharing the risk of an unpredictable, yet essential service to

our community. In turn, I expect to receive fresh, organic, quality produce, a friendly farm

experience, and interesting and informative weekly e-mail newsletters.
