hereby waive, release and forever discharge the Hopkinton Public Schools, the School

Committee for the Hopkinton Public Schools, the Town of Hopkinton, and their

respective elected and appointed officials, committees, officers, agents, employees,

insurers, attorneys, servants, volunteers, representatives, subcontractors, affiliates,

successors and assigns, and others for whom the Hopkinton Public Schools, the School

Committee for the Hopkinton Public Schools, the Town of Hopkinton may have legal

responsibility (hereinafter collectively referred to as “the released parties”), from and

against any and all actions, claims, demands, losses, damages, causes of action,

responsibility and liability for injuries or damages which I/We may now or hereafter have

as a parent/guardian of said Student arising in any way, directly or indirectly, from said

Student’s use of or participation in the Alternate Bus Routes and Alternate Bus Stops.

Further, I/We, for and on behalf of the Student, do hereby waive, release and forever

discharge the released parties from and against any and all actions, claims, demands,

losses, damages, causes of action, responsibility and liability for injuries or damages

which said Student may now or hereafter acquire, before or after reaching the age of

majority, arising in any way, directly or indirectly, from his/her use of and/or

participation in the Alternate Bus Routes and Alternate Bus Stops.

3. For good and valuable consideration, including but not limited to the Student being

allowed to use and/or participate in the Alternate Bus Routes and Alternate Bus Stops,

the receipt and sufficiency of which I/we hereby acknowledge, I/we do hereby agree to

indemnify and hold harmless, including the costs of defense, the Hopkinton Public

Schools, the School Committee for the Hopkinton Public Schools, the Town of

Hopkinton, their respective elected and appointed officials, committees, officers, agents,

employees, insurers, attorneys, servants, volunteers, representatives, subcontractors,

affiliates, successors and assigns, and others for whom the released parties may have

legal responsibility, from and against any and all actions, claims, causes of action,

responsibility and liability for injuries or damages which arise in any way, directly or

indirectly, from said Student’s use of and/or participation in the Alternate Bus Routes and

Alternate Bus Stops.

4. I/We hereby acknowledge and agree that use of and/or participation in the Alternate Bus

Routes and Alternate Bus Stops is completely voluntary and that the Student and I/we are

free to choose to not to use and/or participate in the Alternate Bus Routes and Alternate

Bus Stops. I/We understand that the released parties are not and shall not be required to

or responsible for ascertaining whether or not any responsible adult or other person is

present at any Alternate Bus Stop and/or whether or not the Student’s safety will be

compromised in any way as a result of discharge of the Student at the Alternate Bus Stop

and/or in connection with the use of the Alternate Bus Route. I/We hereby understand

and acknowledge that the Student’s use of and/or participation in the Alternate Bus

Routes and Alternate Bus Stops may involve a risk of personal injury and/or property

damage regardless of the level of supervision and/or the observance of rules. I/We

understand and acknowledge that I/We am/are consenting to the Student’s use of and/or

participation in the Alternate Bus Routes and Alternate Bus Stops with full knowledge of

the dangers and risks involved therewith. I/We hereby agree, on my/our own behalf and

on behalf of the Student, to expressly assume and accept any and all risks of personal

injury, bodily injury and/or property damage, with full knowledge that the released

parties will not be liable for any such injury or damage.
