New Notes: Lower E and F
Track 20
New Chords: The Full C and G7
The next notes we will learn are another set of "E" and "F" notes. They are both found on the 4th string.
The E is found at the 4th String, 2nd fret using the 2nd Finger. The F is found at the 4th String, 3rd Fret
using the 3rd Finger. Play these two notes then read through the new song and call out all the notes and
then call them out and place them on the fingerboard in your mind.
We are now going to change the "C" and "G7" chords a little. We will be adding in a few more notes. With
the "C" chord, we will add in the 3rd finger on the 5th string, 3rd fret. This is the full "C" chord. To get to
the G7 easily, you will basically split your "C" chord apart. Hold the "C" chord. Your 1st finger moves to the
1st string, first fret and your 2nd and 3rd fingers move up one string to the 5th and 6th strings. Strum through
these new chords and get comfortable with them. You will be using them from now on.
Remember to play the notes one time through and then go back to the beginning and strum the chords
four times each measure.
