6. Prepare and send email blasts, as may be required (text to be prepared by Event Manager).
General duties and responsibilities:
•
Develop production timeline schedules for those periods of back to back conferences and events to
ensure that appropriate scheduling and equipment availability is properly coordinated with the event
teams
•
As may be required, answer telephone and take messages.
The basic qualification/skills required are as follows:
•
Bilingual (English and French) - oral and written fluency in both languages is a must!
•
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Access is a plus).
•
Experience using on-line registration systems / database management tools would be an asset
•
Minimum 2 years’ experience in event management
•
Organized and attentive to details, especially as it relates to the consistency and accuracy of data
input.
•
Ability to handle payment processing (credit card processing, balancing payment transactions).
•
Friendly, tactful and considerate in dealing with conference delegates, clients and suppliers.
•
Good business written communications skills including business correspondence.
•
Reliable and flexible.
•
Creative problem solving capabilities.
•
Ability to handle multiple responsibilities concurrently.
