Line 12a - Total Exemption - Enter the original, or if different the corrected, amount of your total exemption.
Line 12b - MS Exemption - Enter the product of line 12a and line 10c. This is your correct MS exemption. If this amount is greater or less than
the amount entered on your original income tax filing (line 17b, Form 80-205), an entry on line 8 is required showing the original, net change, and
corrected amounts.
Change in Tax Liability (page 1)
This section is used to reflect the income tax due and the amounts of payments and credits shown on your original return as filed (Column A); the
amount of the changes that are being made in this amended return (Column B); and the corrected amounts of income tax due and payments and credits
as the result of the changes made in this amended return (Column C).
Line 13 - Mississippi Taxable Income - Enter in column "A" the amount as originally reported for both taxpayer and spouse (Form 80-105, line 21),
the net change from line 9 of page 2 of this form, and the correct amount (total of 13a and 13b).
Line 14 - Enter the tax due per your original filing in column "A", the net change in tax liability in column "B", and the correct total income tax
due on line 14c. The correct income tax due (column "C") is based on the taxable income shown on line 13c.

Line 15 - Mississippi Income Tax Withheld – Complete columns A, B, and C in accordance with the above instructions and attach explanation.
Line 16 - Estimated Tax Payments and Amount Paid With Extension – Complete columns A, B, and C in accordance with the above instructions
and attach explanation.
Line 17 – Credit for Income Tax Paid to Another State – Complete columns A, B, and C in accordance with the above instructions. If credit is
claimed for income tax paid to another state, you must attach a copy of the income tax return filed with the other state.
Line 18 - Other Credits - Complete columns A, B, and C in accordance with the above instructions. Complete and attach Schedule of Credits, Form
80-135, Page 2, Part 1.
Line 19 - Amount Paid with Original Return - enter the amount of additional tax you were required to pay with the original return you filed for this
year. Also, include the amount of any additional income tax you have paid with respect to this tax period to the Mississippi State Tax
Commission since you filed the original return.
Line 20 - Total Credits - enter the sum of the amounts shown on lines 15C through 19C.
Line 21 - Enter the amount of the Overpayment (if any) shown on your original income tax return (or as adjusted by the
State Tax Commission). IMPORTANT: Enter the amount of overpayment shown on the original return (or as adjusted by the State Tax
Commission) before any part of the overpayment was applied to estimated tax for another year or was designated as a contribution to one or more
of the funds listed on the original return.
Line 22 - Net Tax Paid for this Tax Period - subtract line 21 from line 20 and enter the difference here.
Line 23 – Refund to be received – if line 14C is less than line 22, the difference is the amount of your refund and will be refunded unless it is applied
to other outstanding tax balances you owe.
Line 24 - Balance Due - if line 14C is more than line 22, the difference is the additional amount of income tax you owe with this amended income
tax return.
Line 25 - Interest at the rate of 1% per month is due on any additional amount or tax owed calculated for the period beginning with the due date of
the original return and ending with the date paid.
Line 26 - Total Due - Enter the total of the amounts shown on lines 24 and 25. Attach a Check or Money Order, payable to: State Tax Commission,
for the total amount of tax and interest due.
