(a) The name of the school is painted on said bus in black letters, on both sides of the body, and

the words SCHOOL BUS appear in black letters on both the front and rear of the body or on

signs attached thereto;

(b) The body is painted "National School Bus Glossy Yellow";

I certify under penalty of perjury under the laws of the State of Kansas that the forgoing if true

and correct.

Kansas Statute 8-128 exempts school buses owned and operated by a school district or a

nonpublic school which have the name of the municipality, school district or nonpublic school

plainly painted thereon from registration requirements.

However, the school district or

nonpublic school must obtain a Kansas certificate of title for the school bus.

Application for title is to be made in the County Treasurer’s Motor Vehicle Office.
