Dear Family,

I would like you to do something with your child that is an example of a

subtraction fact. For example, you might have a bowl of seven oranges and

cut up two of the oranges for breakfast. There would be five oranges left in

the bowl. I'd like your child to draw a picture of what you did. Help your child

write the subtraction fact under the picture or on the back. You can use any

number from 1 to 18 for the starting number.
