Dear Family,

Please send your child to school with a solid object that has a geometric shape

such as a box or a can. Be sure it is something you do not need to get back. In

school I am going to put students in groups, and they will build something out

of their objects. Afterward the class will look at the constructions and identify

the shapes they see.
