Greetings, Family!

The human body is a wonderful and complex arrangement of cells,

tissues, and organs. In our next unit, “Human Body,” our science class

will be studying the parts of the human body and how they work. We

will explore how the cell obtains the materials it needs and how body

functions are related to cell activities.

For the hands-on activities in this module, we are collecting the

items listed below. Can you donate any of these items? If so, we need

to receive your donated materials by

brown paper bags

food items: apples, bologna,

bread, butter, cooked rice or

chicken or turkey bones,

pasta, lettuce, mayonnaise,

boiled clean

onions, orange juice, potatoes

door hinge

(raw), tomatoes, tortilla chips,

hot pot

vegetable oil

pen holder from desk set

2 houseplants of the same kind

cardboard tubes from

plastic garbage bag

paper towel roll

clear plastic bottle, 1-gallon

size, with cap
