1. Use the flashcards to elicit or present the vocabulary
- elicit / present
- drill the vocabulary
- play some vocabulary games using the flashcards
(10-15 minutes)

2. Read
to the students. You can occasionally point to
illustrations and ask “what‟s this?” You can also encourage students to finish
some of the sentences:
Teacher: “I would not, could not in a …”
Students: “… car”
(10-15 minutes)
3. Place the flashcards on the board and invite students to come up and
write the words above each picture.
(5 minutes)
4. Word search – students work individually, looking for the twelve
vocabulary items in the letters grid.
(10 minutes)
Filler: Use the flashcards for a team spelling game.
