INSTRUCTIONS:
1. With the Glue Pen, add dots to the flower centers and
swirls on the dragonfly wings. Let dry completely. The
glue acts as a resist and will stay white when the color
washes are applied. You do not need to remove the
glue, it will dry hard and clear.
2. Using the brush tip of the 837 Wine Red pen, outline
each petal. Use the water brush to blend the color within
the petal. Color the flip in the petal with the Wine Red.
Repeat this technique of outlining and then washing in
the color with the rest of the coloring. Flower centers:
026 Yellow Gold & 837 Wine Red, Leaves and stems:
249 Hunter Green & 026 Yellow Gold, Dragonfly: 679
Dark Plum & 249 Hunter Green.
3. When the wash color has dried completely, add tangles
into the petals and leaves with the fine tip of the pens.
Keep the patterns simple and use the same color as
your washes.
4. With the N75 Cool Gray 3 pen, add a ‘halo’ around all
the motifs. Keep the brush point to the image to prevent
color transfer.
