Barnes and Noble is the world’s largest bookstore and the vendor responsible for managing the

Chabot College Bookstore.

Purpose: The purpose of this scholarship is to provide Chabot College students with books and

supplies.

Eligibility Criteria:

1. Applicants must be currently enrolled at Chabot College in 12 units or more (An unofficial

transcript is acceptable);

2. Cumulative GPA of 2.0 or higher;

3. Demonstrate financial need (Chabot College Financial Need Analysis Form).

Application Deadline: Completed applications must be received the Chabot College Office of

Development and the Foundation, Building 100, Room 150, by no later than 12:00 p.m. (noon) on

Friday, March 10, 2017. Please make sure that all application items are submitted. Incomplete

applications will not be reviewed for consideration.

Award: Four- scholarships in the form of $500 Chabot College Bookstore credit will be awarded

spring semester 2017. The credit will be held in an account administered by the bookstore, and

from which the selected students can use the funds for the purchase of books and school supplies.

Selection Process: A committee will apply the above criteria and assess the required essay in order

to determine the recipient.
