QC a. Lamps cleaned monthly with a soft cloth moistened with ethanol (465.400w).

QC b. Lamp tested quarterly by exposing agar spread plates to the light for two minutes; alternatively lamps
checked upon first use and quarterly with light meter (465.400w).

QC c. Lamps replaced if less than 99% kill or if emission < 70% of initial output (465.400w).
