NAME of the foreign corporation (or) the foreign limited liability company:

A foreign corporation/LLC may register its corporate/LLC name with the Secretary of

State for the sole purpose of name protection. The registration is not an authority to

conduct any business. The corporation/LLC whose registration is effective may thereafter

qualify as a foreign corporation/LLC under the registered name to transact business. The

registration terminates when the entity applies to do business in Vermont.
