Consumers Energy Email Transmittal

SUBJECT: EMAIL TRANSMITTAL

Consumers Energy Company allows for the transmittal of purchase orders, request for

quotations (RFQs) and follow up correspondence; ie, past due memos, via email. The

only “systems” requirement for the supplier is an Internet email address.

The ability to transmit purchase orders, RFQs and follow up documents without the

generation of paper copies or EDI service charges provides benefits and cost savings to

both Consumers Energy Company and our suppliers. Additional benefits include

improved accuracy and timeliness of receiving the data.

Consumers Energy, when awarding business to suppliers, takes eCommerce capabilities

into consideration.
