Greetings from the Town of Carbondale. This information guide has been
prepared to assist your business in understanding and complying with the Town’s
Sales Tax Ordinance.
WE WELCOME AND ENCOURAGE YOUR INQUIRIES
The guide describes the nature of sales taxes, the types of transactions that are
taxable or exempt under Carbondale’s ordinance, and what must be done to
comply with the law.
This information is intended to supplement the Town Sales Tax Ordinance. It is
not intended to replace the detailed requirements of the ordinance and their
accompanying rules and regulations. The law will prevail in any case of a conflict
between the Board of Trustees adopted ordinance, rules and regulations, and
