2MECHANICAL PERMIT FEE SCHEDULE
MINIMUM FEE:
$40.00
Fee shall be $40.00 plus $6.00 for each $1,000 in value or fraction thereof. A 2% of the total fee must be added for state
levy. In addition of the permit fee and state levy, a $5.00 technology fee is assessed.

*Townhouses for sale and condominiums – Fees calculated on each individual unit.
*Apartments and duplexes – Fees calculated per building.
*Late fee for beginning work without a permit - $75.00
*Reinspection fee - $35.00
GAS PERMIT FEE SCHEDULE
For issuing each permit, the fee shall be $40.00. In addition to the $40.00 fee for issuing each permit, a fee of $2.00 per
gas outlet will be charged. A 2% of the total fee must be added for state levy. In addition of the permit fee and state levy,
a $5.00 technology fee is assessed.
Processing of your application as quickly as possible is our goal. Please check the following to expedite this
process:

Is your check signed and in the correct amount?
•
Is your state contractor’s license and city business license up to date?
•
Is your application complete, i.e., contract value, building permit number, class A, B or C circled?
•
For your convenience, you may fax us your inspection requests, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
•
For your convenience, you may pay for your permit(s) by Discover/Novus credit card by fax.
•
Asbestos inspection and certification may be required prior to permit issuance pursuant to § 54.1-503
of the Code of Virginia.
