PROJECT M ANAGEMENT S PECIALISTS
Project M anagement i s t he a rt o f m anaging a ll a spects o f a p roject f rom p roject i nception t o p roject c losure u sing a
processed and structured methodology. The project management team is defined as a department that centralizes
and f ully o wns t he m anagement o f p rojects. S uccessful p roject m anagement r equires t hat P roject M anagers d evelop
a strong working relationship with the client and key internal customers and organize and direct effective project
teams for each study. Project managers work closely with survey programmers (SP), data processers (DP), Client
Delivery C onsultants ( CDC’s) a nd c lients t hroughout t he p roject l ifecycle ( pre-‐planning, p roduction, q uality c hecking,
fielding and deliverable stages). Upon doing so, the project manager’s role is to ensure that all objectives are
understood by the team and are responsible for taking the lead in driving the project support team towards the
common goal of: efficient production, seamless support, processes adherence and flawless delivery of data files
within t he a greed a mount o f t ime.
Role a nd D uties
• Ensure c lear c ommunication a mong a ll g roups i nvolved i n s uccessful d elivery o f p rojects. T his i ncludes d ay-‐to-‐
day c ommunication w ith c lients; c oordination w ith o ther c lient s ervices g roups, v endors a nd p artners; a nd
communicating p roject m ilestones t o i nternal a nd e xternal s takeholders.
• Set u p a nd i mplement s trategy f or s uccessful c ompletion o f n ew a nd o n-‐going p rojects t o b e d elivered o n t ime,
on b udget a nd o n s cope. T his i ncludes p roject d elivery t imelines; e ffective s ample p lans; i dentifying p roject r isks
and d eveloping r isk m itigation p lans; a nd m anaging c hanges i n p roject s cope a nd p roviding a lternate s olutions.
• Manage a ll p ost-‐delivery p roject n eeds i ncluding c onfirming p roject c lose w ith k ey s takeholders; d ebriefs a nd
creating r ebound o pportunities; a nd a ssuring c lient s atisfaction.
• Expand a nd l everage c lient r elationships t hrough u nderstanding o f c lient o bjectives; c onsultation d uring
production p rocess; p articipation i n c oordination c alls a nd m eetings;
