Event Planner Position Description
Purpose: To plan any single event, typically a fundraiser to support the club and clubhouse. (A
list of traditional and potential events is listed below)
Position Description: This woman will commit to the successful planning and execution of any
single event. An event template will be provided which includes a planning timeline, budget,
promotion, partners and sponsors, food, volunteers, and recognition.
Key Responsibilities:
• Confirm with the Board of Directors the date, time, and location of event.
Establish event budget,
Identify and contact potential partners/sponsors of the event.
Compile invitation list.
Outline your promotional efforts.
Contact caterer to order food and beverages for event.
Solicit volunteer participation to ensure event is well-staffed.
Send news release about the event to local media.
Manage day-of-event activities.
Send Thank You's to partners, sponsors, volunteers, and key participants.
Qualifications and Skills Required: This woman should be a self-starter, highly organized, one
who manages time well, good with both verbal and written communication, a motivator, and
committed to the success of the Club.
Training Offered: The President will provide an orientation to each event and the event
template, successes from past events, and areas in which improvement will be welcomed.
