Petition Letter for Confirmation Candidates

Fr. Mark is the one who recommends each Candidate to the Bishop for

Confirmation. So each Confirmation Candidate in their 2nd year of the

preparation must submit a letter requesting the Sacrament of Confirmation. The

letter needs to be handwritten (neatly) or typed, and signed by the candidate. It

needs to be turned in by March 30th.

To help you candidates write your letter, the following format should be used (Do

not just print and fill in the blanks, please):

apostles at Pentecost and is given sacramentally in Confirmation.

Re: Confirmation Name – You may choose a different Saint’s name or keep your

baptismal name for Confirmation. That different Saint may have has some significant

impact in your life. Or keeping your own name (baptismal name) solidifies the

connection between Baptism and Confirmation. Our Diocese is fine with either choice.
