4000 mile service
24000 mile service
Check/adjust idle speed
In addition to 4000, 8000 & 12000 mile service items.
Check the brake shoes/pads
Change the coolant
Check clutch freeplay
Clean and gap the spark plugs
Check the battery fluid level
Non scheduled service
Check the wheels, tyres & spokes
Check the wheel bearings
Clean the air filter element
Grease the steering head bearings
Drain the crankcase breather
Grease the swingarm and suspension
(XL600V) Check fuel strainer
(in fuel tap)

Replace the brake master cylinder
8000 mile service
and caliper seals
Replace the brake hoses
In addition to 4000 mile service items.
Replace the fuel hoses
Change the spark plugs
Replace the front fork oil
Oil clutch/gearchange/brake lever/brake
pedal/sidestand/centrestand pivots

Lubricate the throttle, choke and clutch

Check/tighten all nuts, bolts and fasteners

Replace the air filter element
Change the brake fluid
