Week One

One: You said you'd come and share all my sorrows

Others: You said you'd be there for all my tomorrows

One: I came so close to sending you away

Others: But just like you promised, you came here to stay

One: I just had to pray.

Others: And Jesus said, "Come to the waters, stand by my side

One: "I know you are thirsty, you won't be denied

Others: "I felt every teardrop when in darkness you cried

One: "And I strove to remind you that for those tears I died."

Others: Here am I, Lord; take me, I’m yours!

See, the home of God is among mortals.

He will dwell with them;

they will be his peoples,

and God himself will be with them;

he will wipe every tear from their eyes.

Death will be no more;

mourning and crying and pain will be no more,

for the first things have passed away.
