THE AVID LEARNING LOG
“How do I know what I think until I see what I write?”
To get the most out of your classes, you should write about what you did, what you learned, and
what questions you want more information about. This type of writing is an excellent way to
prepare for exams and papers because it helps you use writing to discover and clarify ideas.
For classes where you can’t take notes easily, writing reflections as soon as possible after class
will help you get much more out of the class.
You can also use open-ended
